  • Client: the natural or legal person who has entered into a service agreement with Joongle, as well as their representatives or authorised users.
  • myJoongle: the digital platform made available by Joongle for the submission and consultation of accounting and tax documentation.

1. Purpose

1.1 These Terms of Use govern the registration, access to and use by the Client of the myJoongle service, hereinafter simply referred to as the “Portal”, made available by Joongle – Consulting & Accounting Services, Lda. (NIPC 515860824), hereinafter referred to as “Joongle”.

1.2 These Terms of Use supplement and form part of, in all matters not expressly provided for herein, the Terms of Use of Joongle’s institutional website and the respective Privacy Policy, which form an integral part of this contractual framework.

1.3 In the event of any contradiction, inconsistency or discrepancy between these Terms of Use and any of the documents referred to in the previous paragraph, the rules and conditions set out herein shall prevail for the access to and use of myJoongle.

2. Scope of the Service

2.1 myJoongle is made available by Joongle – Consulting & Accounting Services, Lda. to its Clients, upon registration, consisting of access to a secure digital platform intended for the submission and sharing of documentation required for the performance of the contracted accounting and tax services.

  • 2.2a Submit invoices and other tax-relevant documents for accounting purposes;
  • 2.2b Consult documents previously submitted and organised in the Portal;
  • 2.2c Manage their access details, including password changes.

  • 2.3c Organise accepted documents according to technical criteria defined by Joongle.

2.4 Joongle reserves the right, at any time and upon prior notice, to amend, suspend or extend the scope of the services made available through myJoongle whenever this is necessary to ensure the continuous improvement of the platform, legal compliance or information security.

2.5 myJoongle is a preferred channel for the delivery of documentation. It does not replace the Client’s sole obligation to ensure the complete, correct and timely delivery of the documentation required for the performance of the contracted services, regardless of any technical failures or limitations of the Portal.

3. Access, Security and Client Identification

3.1 Registration for myJoongle requires the user to be an active Client of Joongle, meaning that they have a service agreement in force and do not have invoices overdue for more than 30 (thirty) days. Registration depends on the prior acceptance of these Terms of Use and on the assignment by Joongle of personal and non-transferable access credentials, through a process that ensures the confidentiality and uniqueness of the user.

3.2 For Clients, myJoongle allows two distinct access profiles to be defined:

  • 3.2a Editing Profile – intended for users authorised to submit documents, indicate cost centres and link different documents;
  • 3.2b Reading Profile – intended for users who may only consult documents submitted and made available in the companies with which they are associated, without editing or modification rights.

3.3 The Client is responsible for the internal management of the profiles assigned, ensuring that only duly authorised persons have access to the Editing Profile.

3.4 The Client is responsible for the proper use of their access credentials and undertakes to keep them confidential and to adopt appropriate measures to prevent their misuse by third parties.

3.4-A It is recommended that access credentials be changed periodically, preferably at intervals not exceeding 12 (twelve) months, as an additional security measure.

3.5 The Client undertakes to notify Joongle immediately of any incorrect, abusive or fraudulent use of myJoongle, identifying, whenever possible, the causes and circumstances of the occurrence.

3.6 Access to myJoongle may be temporarily or permanently suspended or cancelled by Joongle whenever:

  • 3.6a The Client, or any of its users, fails to comply with these Terms of Use;
  • 3.6b The Client fails to comply with relevant legal, regulatory or contractual obligations;
  • 3.6c Security risks are identified, including repeated failed access attempts.

3.7 The Client authorises Joongle to electronically record accesses, instructions and communications made within myJoongle, recognising the validity of such records as evidence in court.

3.8 Joongle reserves the right to implement additional security measures at any time whenever there are doubts regarding the Client’s identity or where the integrity of communications or of the system is at stake.

4. Term and Amendments

4.1 These Terms of Use shall take effect from the date of the Client’s registration for myJoongle and shall remain in force until the termination or suspension, for any reason, of the service agreement between the Client and Joongle, which constitutes the basis for use of the Portal.

4.2 Joongle may amend these Terms of Use by written notice, including by electronic means, sent to the Client at least 30 (thirty) days before the expected date of entry into force. If that period expires without express objection by the Client, the proposed amendments shall be deemed accepted.
